Beach Day!

We had another fun day with Terry, Bill, and Tyler. We went to a beach in Rhode Island-the boys had a great time playing in the water, I got in some ocean swimming, and Ethan loved the playground. Best of all was the clam chowder and clamcakes we had for lunch! YUMMY! Bill and Terry found some quahogs to bring back to Missouri so they can show their friends down there what they're missing!!!

Roger Williams Zoo

Grandma Terry and Grandpa Bill are in town for a few days and we went to the zoo with them and Ethan's cousin Tyler. The boys had a great time feeding the fish, seeing the animals and the butterfly garden, and riding the carousal. Ethan LOVED playing in the water.

UH-OH!!!!

Ethan the Destroyer has struck again. Check out the lovely remodeling job on his wallpaper border during his supposed nap. He points it out to me with a big Uh-oh when I come into his room. What AM I going to do with this boy? Is it child abuse to replace his toddler bed with a large dog crate?

Fun in Chicago

We had a good time in Chicago and wish we could have stayed longer-who knows, maybe I'll do the Chicago Danskin Triathlon in a year or two just so we can go back! We went to the Field Museum and had a lot of fun at Navy Pier.

Ethan at a playground...

Here are some pics of Ethan playing at a park we found somewhere in Illinois-note- if you are ever presented with the opportunity to try a "Butter Burger"-skip it! Take your custard and candy mixture and run.

Sara's Wedding

My sister Jessica and I were bridesmaids in our college suitemate Sara McGranahan's wedding today. It was so awesome to see Sara-I haven't seen her since she was a bridesmaid in my wedding 8 years ago! She wanted Ethan to be a ringbearer-I warned her he was only 2, so there were no guarentees he would behave! He did a great job though, and was so cute in his tuxedo! I don't think I relaxed until his part was over! Jessie and I had a lot of fun on the Boom-Boom Bus-we were driven around for about 3 hours for pictures in a couple of different locations. Things I learned in Iowa: 1. They grow more corn than anywhere in the universe. 2. I learned what a "beerslide" is. 3. He's a jager...she's a jager...wouldn't you like to be a jager too? Umm, no, Lovedogs, no.

Up to no good....

Ethan bent the plastic child locks out of shape that I had been using to keep his bottom 2 dresser drawers shut. Then he climbed up on top of his dresser, pulled opened his top drawer, and climbed inside. All this during his supposed "nap."
