April 12,2008 We enjoyed a beautiful spring day today. We went down to the beaver pond and saw 3 great blue herons, 4 wood ducks, 2 mallards, a box turtle, and perhaps a smew or bufflehead at the other pond, to far away to tell. When we came home, our neighbor's chickens were out, so we found some bread and they quickly made their way over the stone wall into our yard! Ethan had great fun feeding them the hamburger buns, and saving the wheat bread for himself!
